Today I received an email from littlewoods informing me that they had a new plus size range called so fabulous.
I excitedly looked at the site, only to discover it was the same shit range of stuff I'd seen when they had sent me a link to their spring/summer catalogue a couple of months ago. The clothes look hideous, totally unfashionable and they seem to make the pretty model look unflattering wide with every single click.
What the f**k?
So ladies don't bother with littlewoods, unless you are looking for a sequin tent.
There are a few casual tops there I don't mind but as you say, a lot of the clothing is pretty ordinary. The "going out" range is dreadful. I wouldn't go anywhere in those. That model (well one or two of them anyway) don't look like size 16 to me either. I think half the problem is (other than the colors and designs) the tops generally fall too long on the model and look silly because they are so big and loose on her (because she obviously isn't a big girl). They are also expensive!

Oh my god it is truly awful! I looked at the coats and jackets because I thought I might like a nice smart fitted jacket for the summer and stumbled across this "linen overshirt" http://www.littlewoods.com/rf/navigation/product.do?categoryId=7204119&productPos=3&catno=DP76218&groupId=444286645 - urgh!
Also, why do they think that 16+ women don't have to wear suits to work. Simply Be seem to be of the same mind. Dare I accuse them of thinking that fat=stupid therefore no way they'd have a job requiring a suit.
Where are the nice A line skirts I've been reading about!
Almost enough to make me want to go to the gym so i can fit into "normal" size clothes...
Ah ha, I've stumbled on the evil plan. Perhaps the NHS is paying Littlewoods to be so crap this year as part of an anti-obesity strategy.

I agree Bri some of the simple tops are okay but I think there are plenty of casual simple clothes out there for plus size women and not enough fashionable or interesting clothes for us!
Claire I share your frustration and think the NHS's cunning plan is pretty evil! I know there are some plus size online shops that do suits but they aren't cheap! Not fair :(

the clothes look too big on them!
Littlewoods seem to think that bigger girls need to swamp their figures in tents because thats what we want right? What a load of bollocks, i like belts, and fitted stuff, no point hiding it in tents because it just makes me look even bigger, althoguh, there is the other extreme, beth dittos lycra....
hummmmm
